Questions
No, it’s for England only
The “Your First Home” scheme covers new-build homes in England. If you’re buying in Wales, Help to Buy – Wales may help instead. It’s open until 31 March 2027 for new-build homes up to £300,000, with a 5% deposit and an equity loan of up to 20%. Most first homes aren’t new builds, though, so your Ready Check looks at all the options that could work for you.
No, the Ready Check won’t affect your credit score.
Answering our questions and talking to our adviser doesn’t involve a credit search. If you later decide to apply for a mortgage, your adviser will explain any credit checks before they happen.
